You just used a custom-built website. I built it.
Ticket checkout, a working shop, QR check-in, a live donations wall - none of that came from a template. I designed and coded all of it from scratch for The Awakening Summit, and I take on projects like this for organisations across the US and UK who need real software, not just a brochure site.
See my main siteUK-based, US-ready. I work with clients across the US the same way I do down the road from me - calls, async, direct contact. Distance hasn't been the problem people expect.
You talk to the person building it. No account managers, no outsourced dev team, no handoffs - start to finish, it's me.
Hand-coded, not drag-and-drop. Everything below is written from scratch - the same standard your project would get.
Six systems, one event - built from nothing.
All six are live and running for the Summit right now. Four you can click through and use yourself below - check-in and the staff dashboard run behind the scenes, out of public view.
E-ticket checkout & payments
Stripe-powered payments with tax handled automatically, and an e-ticket with a QR code emailed the instant someone pays - the same code that gets scanned at the door.
See it liveCustom shop
Its own storefront, its own products and its own fulfilment pipeline through to the buyer - built and priced from the ground up, not bolted on with a plugin.
See it liveDonations & supporters wall
One-off and monthly donations that publish straight to a public supporters wall - no manual review step waiting in between.
See it liveInteractive vendor page
Vendors pick and pay for their own spot on the floor plan - instead of emailing back and forth over a PDF map.
See it liveQR check-in
Guests and vendors get scanned in at the door against the live guest list - no paper lists, no manual lookups.
Used at the door - not on the public siteStaff admin portal
One dashboard for the Summit team to see ticket sales, vendor status and check-ins - instead of digging through spreadsheets.
Staff-only - not on the public siteEvery link above goes to the real, live event site - not a demo or a mockup.
That's not what a "website" usually means.
Most small business sites - including my own standard managed plans - are content: pages, photos, a contact form. What's above is software: payments that reconcile, floor plans that fill in as vendors claim a spot, forms that publish themselves. If your project needs any of that, it's exactly the kind of work I take on outside the standard plans.
Still just me.
I'm Jamie - I design and build everything myself, from the first sketch to the server it runs on. No account managers, no handoffs between departments, no outsourced dev team. When I build something for you, I'm the one who keeps it running afterwards, too.
I'm based in Hythe, on the Kent coast in the UK, and I work with clients across the US the same way I would down the road from me. It hasn't slowed anything down for The Awakening Summit, and it won't for you.
